I'm Jilvan — Android developer working in Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, MVVM and Clean Architecture. Before mobile I spent a decade and a half in production software across fintech, emergency response, logistics and energy. That's mostly what taught me how apps survive past version 1.0.

Emergency event management app

Led native Android feature development for an emergency response platform — real-time alerts, critical event workflows and emergency communication. Built screens in Jetpack Compose with reusable Material components, wired push notifications and weather alert flows, and supported Play Store releases end to end: build validation, versioning, QA, release notes, rollout.

Digital banking

Android features for a digital bank in Kotlin with MVVM, Coroutines, dependency injection and Clean Architecture, plus API integrations with external financial institutions for connected banking flows. Architecture discussions, code reviews and debugging in a fast-moving fintech team; delivery through Jenkins and Bitrise.

Homeowner portal, on both platforms

The main customer app for home buyers and homeowners: progress tracking, warranty management, document access, galleries, forms and real-time messaging. Implemented biometric auth, push notifications, deep linking and offline-friendly persistent state, with GraphQL through Apollo Client and codegen. Led the React Native version upgrades — dependency conflicts, native build failures and regression risk across iOS and Android.

Sharpening now

Industry-Level Android Development with Kotlin (PL Coding), and Kotlin Multiplatform with Compose. The target is a shared Kotlin core with Compose Multiplatform on top.

The part that's harder to hire

Twenty years of backend, frontend and integration work — Java, C#, SQL Server, Spring Boot, React, Next.js. When an Android bug turns out to be an API contract problem, I can go read the API instead of filing a ticket.

About

Web systems for a decade. Mobile ever since.

I built applications, dashboards, reporting systems and middleware integrations for media, manufacturing, corporate and finance environments for over ten years, moved into mobile in 2019, and have been Kotlin-first since. B.Sc. in Computer Science from Universidade Paulista. Based near Porto. Day to day I work in Agile teams — estimation, sprint planning, code review, mentoring, and the design, backend and QA conversations that come with shipping.
